What’s more Australian than a picnic on Australia Day? Bring your picnic blanket, chairs and table to this year’s Australia Day celebrations. NARACOORTE - 7.00am at the Naracoorte Town Square for breakfast supplied by local service clubs, entertainment starts from 7.35am. The official ceremony commences at 7.55am. LUCINDALE - 11.00am at Centenary Park, Musgrave Avenue, followed by a community lunch.

Australia Day Citizen of the Year

Nominations are now open for Naracoorte and Lucindale for the Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award, Young Citizens of the Year Award and Community Event of the Year Award. The Citizen of the Year Awards are presented at Council’s Australia Day events held at Naracoorte and Lucindale.

Australian Ambassador to Zimbabwe visit to Naracoorte

Community members are invited to a free presentation by former Naracoorte resident, Her Excellency Suzanne McCourt Australian Ambassador to Zimbabwe at the Naracoorte Town Hall on Thursday 30th March at 6pm.

Building a Prosperous Community

The Naracoorte Lucindale Council is committed to building a prosperous community. In support of this Council has released the following initiatives aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation - Business Entrepreneurs / Innovation Fund, Retiree Business Mentor Program and A Guide to Government Support for Business. The impetus for these initiatives has come from the Naracoorte Lucindale Economic Development Plan released by Council in 2014.
