Harmony Day - Everyone Belongs, Friday 24 March

Come along to the Naracoorte Town Square on Friday 24 March at 10.30am for the Harmony Day Children’s Festival when around 1000 children from schools, kindergartens and child care centres will come together to celebrate Harmony Day. Each school will perform an item and then everyone will perform a combined dance.

Australia Day celebrations kick off at Naracoorte at 7.00am at the Naracoorte Town Square with breakfast supplied by local service clubs, entertainment starts from 7.35am and the official ceremony commencing at 7.55am. This is followed by celebrations and a community lunch at Lucindale at 11.00am at the rotunda at Centenary Park, Musgrave Avenue.

Plane Trees

At Naracoorte Lucindale Council’s December meeting the Elected Members received a report on the damage Plane Trees along Ormerod Street, Naracoorte are causing to footpaths, kerbs and drainage as well as damaging privately owned buildings.

Kybybolite Research Centre

At the Naracoorte Lucindale Council’s November meeting a petition was received seeking Council’s support to place heritage listing on a small piece of land at the Kybybolite Research Centre.
